I've had a somewhat interesting night. I stumbled upon videos saying President Obama was one of the closet we've seen to a fully realised Anti-christ.

My first question is - Would an anti-christ really be so awful? Sure, the coming of this individual heralds the destruction of the human race.

If you take a quick glance at Wikipedia, it only takes moments to discern that the very root of the words that became antichrist are not quite as severe as religious leaders would have us believe. When we hear the word "anti" we automatically associate it with violent opposition of whatever religious icon is in question. Just perhaps this isn't so.

The "anti" prefix simply synonymed "the opposite of". The concept of an anti-christ could be this:

Christ encouraged salvation through faith, a passive and unproductive emotional state. Ungranted appeals to God simply meant the prayer was unworthy of God's attention. When a parent sees a child looking to them for help that they can provide but choose not to, in order that child might grow beyond what it is currently capable of. God, should He exist, likely doesn't interfere in our world for that very reason. Our salvation is in our own hands. In our own choices. Wow, that sounds a lot like President Obama's election rhetoric.

In an exactly opposite message to that of Christ he asks us to act in the interests of our race's preservation, rather than pray for it.

Christ called for faith. Obama is a supporter of results, answers and fact. In essence, science. In that way he is very much the opposite of christ.

Religion, it seems, more often than not, asks us to maintain the status quo. Obama asks for change.

The coming of the antichrist heralds destruction.

Well, destruction of what? The human race? Not likely. What's a God, either above us or below us without those who worship them? Why would "Satan" destroy those he needs/wants to worship him? Why would any ruler destroy their subjects? It's not a logical conclusion. Catholicism has been an excellent model for capitalism, if it has benefitted us *cough* in no other way.

The coming of an antichrist is likely to represent the destruction of Catholic, and resembling religions, leaving earths population in tact. Even the simplest human beings can see the path we are now walking down where the richest 1% (or thereabouts) are richer than the other 99% combined is going to lead to desctruction of the human race, if not our very planet and all that inhabit it. It may even represent the destruction of currents systems of governance. Rebuilding human governance from the bare earth up. Let's face it, any system built on even the building blocks of what we live now, is likely going to fail. It has repeatedly throughout the course of history. Why shouldn't this hold true now?

Instead of the tactic of instilling fear in one of the consequences that will be brought about by non-obedience as Christ did, President Obama encourages one to better themselves not for fear of failure to do so, but for the benefits it will bring not only to that person but their community. He does not preach punishment, but rather leaves it out of the equation all together. Punishment, if it can be called that, will be passive. Those who do not change for the better will remain as they are, without consequence. As if doing so isn't torture enough. They will simply eventually be left behind by a society that moves forward. Peacefully and passively. I hope President Obama receives a second term.

Question: Is the richest financial entity in the world really concerned with the welfare of the people who follow it, or are these followers simply slaves to a beast that has become the devil they fear. You cannot tell me the financial hoarding of the Catholic Church isn't about one of your seven deadly sins - Greed. "Hand over your finances to us because you're a bunch of mindless, irresponsible amoebas." Great encouragement.

Take President Obama out of this entire tidbit and it probably represents a "seemingly logical" overview of what the so-called antichrist will probably be like.

The coming of an antichrist is going to bring the destruction of something the human race is afraid to let go of. Likely not more than that. I for one just may try to help ensure there are as few dead fingers to wrest it from as possible when the dust settles. No wonder I left the military...

AWWWWWWWW!!!!! I love it!!!! I wish you knew how big I just smiled. Shadows in great spots, true color, and I love the blush on the faces. AWWWWWWW!!!!! SO cute. Thank you very much for colouring this. That's a Save, for certain. Keep at whatever you don't like about it. Think of it as good exercise for pieces of your own that really deserve the effort of being done perfectly.

This is cool.

Thanks BlackSnow!

Tee hee hee. If anybody wonders what he's talking about there's an episode of Sailor Moon you need to see. Nephlite is about the closest thing you'll ever see to a fullblown pedophile in kids cartoons.

Whazzup? Ok, being the first person to comment on your 'little' rant about Twilight, I will establish that I have not read the book, though seen most of the movie. Now {ragged breathing////////door opens,,,,,,,shuffling steps..../,.I WATCHED YOU GET CHANGED!} I never really would have bothered keeping opinions on things like this, except for taking a english lit class on fairytales, and reading many criticisms that open your eyes to the apalling truths that modern society has glazed over with Disney and the like. Women abuse, heirachical gender and social status issues, intelligence/madness differentiation, all things you never quite get from the multi-color storybook you read as a kid, but are ever present in the truer versions of these tales. What you rant on in Twilight reminds me of this aspect of intelligent negligence. The author knowingly has created these structures to mimic the distorted views of the past, and in doing so is blatantly reverting the younger, newer generation to a detrimental state due to the negative exposure of these morals (or in some cases lack thereof). End of my rant. Like the art by the way....

Actually, I sincerely suggest you watch the Twilight DVD before jumping conclusions about her motivations. I've seen that she invented this thing around exploring rather religious views of temptation and resisting it. Also adhering to some very moral modes of behavious, for instance, abstaining until one's married to their partner. Fair enough. As for consciously creating such a detrimental relationship, if you watch the interview she says in not so few words that she was inspired by dreams and wrote the first book withinside a few months. Writing something so quickly hardly represents the time it takes to present something sufficiently well thought out. She also says that she wrote it thinking to herself, this is what I dreampt they did with one another, so what would they do and say next? No deep intentions, no desire to communicate these old archetypes. In fact, if you read the book, Edward's dialogue in some very threatening situations is what one would expect from a modern borderline abusive individual. In all earnesty I think you've given her much more credit than she deserves. She does point out in the book that moeny and good looks don't garner acceptance but this woman a housewife, not a working woman and she doesn't seem to have many modern sensibilities. She's something of a princess with a rather distorted view of reality and whether I'm reading into how she writes too deeply or not, here goes. I know that the only basis for constructing dialogue is the books they read and the relationships they have in real life. If these interactions are any indication of how she's been treated or treatment she's recieved and is trying to process (I mean in dreams before the the parts of the book that are obviously weaving dreams together existed) then this woman is in or has been in some very unhealthy relationships, at least to some degree. I'm probably way over my head putting her on the couch but if any of these negatives have basis in reality this is could be construed as a cry for help. I mean Bella and Edward eventually have a child, I don't know whether they're married or not at the time, but the baby starts eating Bella from the inside out. What if, just what if, that's how, at some point, she felt about carrying children? This book may be more of a reflection of her than anyone is willing to appreciate. Just maybe most people are willing to gloss it over and not understand what they're absorbing. The one instance in the book that's come to bother me most is when Bella can't sleep and she uses cough medicine to sleep instead of letting it run its course. I have issues with substance abuse and dependance and this is not a detail I want any young individual adopting. EVER. Using drugs to put yourself to sleep unless suffering from some sort of physical chemical imbalance, unless you are actually ill, is not acceptable. Very very wrong. Anyhow, I have to go to work. Later!!!! :)

To be continued...

They're some of the most recent, thus the awesomeness. I really need to reread some of my favourite series to get inspired to do more fan art again. And good 'ol SpookyMeggie (a true life friend mine from the DA community) would step in right here, slap my wrist and say NO!!! Do original work!!!

Thank you, though!!!

I'm happy you like them.

Cheers!
